Workshops

I deliver dynamic and high-impact workshops tailored to your topics of need/interest. Each workshop is structured to cover foundational background, best practices, and opportunities for practicing the take-home message.

Topics: Diversity equity and inclusion (Higher education and STEM), navigating mentoring relationships, managing expectations, navigating research culture and hidden curriculum as an underrepresented scholar, negotiating your future, Toolkit for success series, and inclusive laboratory.

Consulting

Identifying problems and developing plans to reach the desired outcomes can be challenging. During our consultation, I maintain your values and goals as a priority and focus on developing a partnership to develop a strategic plan that will help you achieve transformation and sustainable change.

I have over 10 years of experience as a professional in Higher Education and have been successful at developing strategies that have positively impacted: outreach and recruitment at the graduate level, the design of programming to increase satisfaction and retention, holistic graduate admissions, and relationship building between graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and administrators.

Speaking engagements

I’m a researcher and a storyteller. I combine my professional expertise, personal experiences, and lens as a scientist, administrator, woman, and underrepresented scholar, to deliver impactful and compelling narratives.

Past topics: Self-advocacy, Mentoring and advising underrepresented scholars, Hispanic heritage month lectures, Women in STEM, Latinx in STEM, motivational talks on self-worth, and re-defining your success.

Coaching

As professionals, scientists, and caretakers, we are constantly evolving and collecting tools to improve our performance, grow our portfolios, and set or achieve our goals. Getting started or executing your plans can be challenging or intimidating, and personal coaching can be the key to diversifying your toolkit for success.
